Mercury and Venus have been cruising along together in Scorpio for about a week, making communication, love, business, well…let’s face it…. life super intense and miserable. If you enjoy being deeply scrutinized for growth purposes I suppose this has been great fun for you, I, personally am so glad that the duo has moved on into Sagittarius so things can now get a bit lighter if sometimes too lofty. Also today, Moon is rolling over Neptune in Aquarius, where they are tying up last minute details on moving into the next paradigm shift. Meaning if you have big plans, you probably won’t really get to sink into them until February of next year. I know you thought it was going to happen sooner, but sorry, it’s not. You should know by now it never happens when you think it should and if you take a look around you there is still plenty to do. Thank you Lola, for making me take the time to look at the stars!!!

Capricorn Moon wants to get things done, check items off the eternal lists, move forward.  Yesterday it rolled over Pluto, who is now going forward, and that feeling was just intensified by one million.  Today we feel the four planets in Libra screaming, “But what about…” If we listen to them too long, moon gets depressed, feels smothered, and Uranus in Aries joins in with helpful random inspirations and drives that go against any plan you have ever had.  I think the way out of this is to spend time with your friends, entertain random ideas of action gracefully (Libra and Aries) and take steps every day along your plan (Moon).  It’s not going to feel good.  I told my husband that I felt like the gas and break was on at the same time and he said, take the car out of gear.  If the tension gets too much, do this.  Take yourself out of gear for a moment and coast, that’s always an option.

I was going to write this post yesterday, but I was too busy being emo. The Moon was conjunct Pluto in Capricorn and for those of you enlightened enough to use this energy constructively I’m sure it was an amazing day.  For me, not so much.  I spent part of the day mad at others, part of the day mad at myself, and the rest of the day in extreme frustration. Thankfully the Moon moves quickly and by the end of the day and two pints of ice cream later, I was staring at the actual full moon in the beautiful night sky with my overstimulated baby and starting to mellow out.

A great combination for a miserable debate.  Moon in Virgo makes us sensitive to what could be, critical of what is, and desirous of providing others with our “helpful insights”.  Mercury in Leo would like nothing better than an approving, adoring audience to listen to it’s long monologues. If you’re on your own this fourth of July and the next couple of days, you’ll find the debate internalized and you might be like Hemmingway’s old man, who says to himself, “You give me much good counsel … I’m tired of it.”

Moon has been in Scorpio, so if you are feeling particularly pissed off and intense, let it go.  For me that means physically lowering my shoulders about four inches, taking a deep breath, and resetting my focus.  In addition, read about the upcoming Lunar Eclipse here, and ponder on what Earthly things you will enjoy watching yourself manifest over the next nine years most.

Great time to jump headfirst off whatever wagon your on and overdo everything.  Personally I have gone on a sugar, dairy, gluten full diet and I feel great, or at least not completely horrible.  On a more positive note, it’s a perfect time to be brave about whatever you’ve been scared about.  Have that emotional talk with your SO that you’ve been avoiding, explore something new in your neighborhood you’ve been thinking about, or go ahead and take that trip you totally deserve.  Whatever it is, do it, life is too short to live in fear.

Mars has just gone into Taurus and Moon is in Virgo, with Sun and Pluto that makes four planets in Earth signs to balance out all that fire.  Time to get on with our plans and put down some roots; choose one or two good ideas out of all our firey inspiration and make it real.  Not that we’ll stop sprouting ideas, with Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Uranus still in Aries, we will keep coming up with brilliant and obscure master plans, but now the energy is there to actually take action on a few of them.  So let’s get busy.

And I thought Gemini Moon was bad.  This Cancer Moon has the benefit of squaring all those Aries planets as well.  We could look at it as an opportunity to be more sensitive, caring, nurturing with all those other planets, or, if you are like me, you could just get scared and not know why, start arguments, feel sorry for yourself and cry.  That works too.  Actually it doesn’t work at all.  Try to take some time to nurture yourself today and be kind to everyone, we all get scared sometimes.  If you have any good ideas on how to do this, please comment!!!

Continuing to observe the Moon around the 12 signs, Moon moving into Taurus has calmed things down around the house.  I took a long nap with The Baby and stayed pleasantly positive and mellow all day.  Taurus is known for loving food, music, luxury, nature, and general well being.  I think Taurus also fixes things as the car got fixed today.  Yesterday as the Moon was coming near Taurus we went for a hike.  As I am writing this entry at 11:15 pm, I am very much wanting the luxury of sleep.  What else do you know about Taurus?  Where is your Taurus?  Mine is in the 9th house, and I definitely love to eat while traveling.  Speaking of 9th house, that must be where the moon is for me and I just bought airline tickets.  Thank you, Moon, and now good night, Moon.
