If our first house, our Ascendent, is how we were taught to face the world, our 12th house is what we were taught to suppress. It can feel great to acknowledge our 12th house and let it live a little, allowing us to feel more balanced and whole. Inspired by Astrologer Donna Cunningham’s blog, here’s my take on what your hiding depending on your Rising Sign (Ascendent).  (Not the same as your Sun Sign, either ask me or calculate it here if you don’t know yours).

Aries – Behind all that get up and go, you wish you could lounge in a communal pool at a new age meditation retreat.

Taurus – You’ve learned to enjoy food, wine, and traditional roles, but secretly, you’d like everyone to just grab a hotdog and get out of your way.

Gemini – You’re open-minded, curious and non judgmental listening skills is fronting for some deep-set traditional values.

Cancer – You’re all for love and caring, but really it’s a big of a drag and you miss the freedom of just being a bystander.

Leo – You’ve learned to party and your good at having fun but secretly you’d rather be sitting on the couch, sipping tea, cuddled up with a long time lover.

Virgo – Behind all that humble, helpful, self-deprecating exterior lies a secret yearning to be a movie star battling off adoring fans and paparazzi.

Libra – You know how to play nice and make everyone comfortable, but dammit you know your right and they are so so wrong.

Scorpio – Behind all that intensity, politics, and jealousy, you kind of wish everyone would just shut up and play nice.

Sagittarius – Your light hearted, wanderlust, up for anything sparkle is harboring some deep resentments and hard core broodiness.
